Becker Vineyards

Becker Vineyards in the Texas Hill Country is one of 4 of the most memorable wineries we visited in the area and one of the best wine-tasting experiences of the day. We were met with a smile and a great sampling of a number of wines. We were given tickets to pay for the next tasting when we were ready, so we didn’t have to rush. The attendant was very knowledgeable about the nuances of each vintage and was very forthcoming with their knowledge of the wine.

Becker Vineyards Wine

Becker Vineyards Wine

Sit on the Patio at Becker Vineyards to taste Your Wine and Take Some Notes.

Enjoy the grounds and the atmosphere, bring your friends and out of town guests whenever time permits. If you become a wine club member, you will have a separate area from other guests. On the weekends the winery is quite busy and so the main tasting hall can get crowded and loud. Always a fun experience to grab a glass or a bottle and head out to the grounds and find a place to sit and just enjoy a great setting and glass of wine. There are several wines to choose from, have a look at the following video to see all the Becker Vineyards wine they have available for tasting.

The Wine Tasting

They also have a tasting room in the town of Fredericksburg. If you only have time to taste—do it—but if you can make time, reserve it for a food pairing, it is an experience you won’t forget. We had a 1:00 reservation on a Friday afternoon. We walked in to find we were the only patrons in line for a tasting, we had the barrel room and a pourer to ourselves. It was a royal experience for sure!

A Legacy of The Texas Wine Country

The wines are spectacular which isn’t surprising from the legacy vineyard of the Texas Hill Country. Krystal, our pourer, is so fun, lovely and well informed about wine tasting. She explained to us how to tell if a wine is too acidic, too alcoholic, or too tannic and enjoys talking about Becker wines and the history of the Texas Hill Country. All the wines tasted finished and well developed. You won’t miss California for a minute.
