A list of books on wine you must read in 2020. This is the year I will learn more about wine by reading some of the top wine books for 2020. I am going to step up my game of wine knowledge. The expanded wine guide includes more than 100 grapes with color-coded charts to help you remember your favorite wines.
The World Atlas of Wine 8th Edition
An essential reference of the wine world, in its 8th edition, this is truly a classic. It was first published in 1971 and in this 8th edition they have added 22 new maps and the text has been updated to include the wine habits of today’s winegrowers and drinkers.
Wine Simple: A Totally Approachable Guide from a World-Class Sommelier
This is also a cookbook along with a wine pairing by world-renowned sommelier Aldo Sohm.
The first fifty pages alone are worth the reasonable price, “How Wine is Made” does not just describe the steps in the process but also the decision points along the way and why/how they affect the outcome.
Kevin Zraly Windows on the World Complete Wine Course: Revised, Updated & Expanded Edition
This one if for the more serious wine drinker. If you are going to be taking a sommelier certification then this book is really helpful at laying down the basics for anyone who wants to learn more about wine.
Wine Food: New Adventures in Drinking and Cooking [A Recipe Book]
This is a gorgeous book to look at. But more importantly, it inspired me to think about cooking dishes I’ve never eaten let alone made before.

Do you want to shine in a blind tasting? Look no further, this book will help you articulate what is in your glass.
Wine Folly: The Essential Guide to Wine
Think of this as your Infographic to wine!
The New Wine Rules: A Genuinely Helpful Guide to Everything You Need to Know
The book is written out in rules, so you can just flip through it to the question you want to know more about as opposed to reading the entire thing. This book is very clear about not being for “wine snobs”.

An educational resource published by the Society of Wine Educators. Intended for use by candidates preparing to take the Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW) Exam.
The Essential Scratch & Sniff Guide to Becoming a Wine Expert: Take a Whiff of That
Haha, this one is a great gift for the wine lover that has all the gadgets.
This is a great addition if you listen to Elizabeth Schneider on the Wine For Normal People podcast.
Natural Wine for the People: What It Is, Where to Find It, How to Love It
This book teaches you what natural wine really is, why you should want it, how to navigate restaurant lists and wine stores, how to stand up for yourself when something isn’t good.
I love this series of books, along with my Home Improvements for Dummies, I’ll have to get a copy of this one for sure.
